Marissa Goldstein, DVM
Dr. Marissa Goldstein is a native New Yorker. After graduating from University of Delaware in 2012, she then attended Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies, where she received a DVM degree. While at St. Kitts she adopted her Coconut Retriever Pluto and two cats Nemo and Duncan. Dr. Goldstein came back to New York with more than a degree!
An accomplished baker, Dr. Goldstein's hobbies also include hiking and music. She is excited to be here at Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital and looks forward to working with our community!
Jessica Spetko, DVM
Dr. Spetko grew up on the north shore of Long Island. She graduated from Stony Brook University in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She then attended Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Cornell University.
Passionate about working with many species of animals, Dr. Spetko has spent time working to rehabilitate Asian elephants, macaques and gibbons in Thailand. She has also enjoyed working with seals and sea lions as a marine mammal intern at a local aquarium. Her true passion, however, lies in small animal medicine.
Dana Carter, DVM
Dr. Dana Carter grew up on the South Shore of Long Island. She received an undergraduate degree from SUNY Oswego and received her DVM degree from St. Matthew’s University. Prior to joining the Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital team, Dr. Carter practiced at St. Francis Hospital for Animals and Save-A-Pet Animal Shelter. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Carter enjoys bringing her dogs to the park, art, painting, and music. She has two dogs and two cats.
Dr. Carter has a passion for animals, her job is not easy, but she loves it. Caring and compassion are qualities that express her personality.
